The Zany
World of Corporate Music
Since 1991 Fiction Music has been providing music for corporate client’s videos and commercial broadcasts.
We’ve done hundreds of TV and Radio Ads, Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and information videos for clients ranging from American Standard to Canada’s Department of National Defence.
We’ve done music for The National Gallery of Canada, United Way, Canadian Medical Association, The Royal Canadian Mint, Canada Post, Nortel, Navcan, The Ministry of Justice, The RCMP, CHEO, Operation Go Home, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, The Treasury Department, Aerospace and Industry Canada, Human Rights Commission, CHRI, The Department of National Defence, Canadian Wildlife Federation, Anglican Churches of Canada, Literacy Canada, and many, many more.
The music we provide for these jobs ranges from sentimental orchestral music (Canadian Medical Association’s 100th anniversary) to out and out balls-to-the-wall, full-frontal assault guitar rock (DND One Wing) or, in some cases, like the series of PSAs for Operation Go Home, an unsettling aural tapestry of guitar squeals and moans, synth drones and ambient percussion.
Fiction Music is also the creator of the original (and now ubiquitously copied) Hums, Drones and Pulses production music CD. Originally released on our own library and then repackaged with Sonic Science’s library “Sonic Source”, this CD has not only become an industry standard, it has been used by almost every major international broadcaster. Right now Fiction Music is teaming up with Ottawa’s Sound Venture Productions to release a brand new library that will up-date the venerable drones CD as well as provide various other volumes of music in a variety of styles and ensembles.
